“ Elevator Ride” Testimony: I accepted Christ in 1984 after graduating from CSU through the patient evangelism of many friends from Fellowship of Christian Athletes, Cowboy Chapter rodeo ministries. Many had lifted me in prayer over the years that I would see my condition as a sinner in need of a Savior. After being directly challenged about what I believed, I spent 4 months reading the Bible in search of the truth and found it in Jesus Christ; His life, His death and His resurrection.
Ministry Responsibilities at WCC: Elder, shepherd, teacher
Spiritual Giftedness: Bold proclaimer of the Gospel and Enthusiastic Encourager.
Spiritual passions: Seeing people reconciled to God and living in the joy of obedience to the Word. Seeing people excited about living for Christ. Seeing the church grow in faith, unity and in joy for the sake of Christ.
After the Bible, what Christian book that has most influenced you: Knowing God by J.I. Packer, What Is The Gospel by Greg Gilbert, Raising a Modern-Day Knight by Robert Lewis.
After Christ, who is your favorite godly hero and why: The Apostle Paul because he fully grasped the grace that Christ exhibited in the forgiveness of sin and reconciliation with the Father. Hudson Taylor because he trusted God for and in all he needed.
Life verse: Hebrews 4:14-16 and Micah 6:8
Favorite Foods: I’m not terribly fussy when it comes to food and like it all. I adhere to the Acts 11:7 dining model of go catch it and throw it on the grill. Spaghetti with Italian sausage is my comfort food.
Favorite Activities: Hunting, Fishing, camping, canoeing, building custom fishing rods, the farm and anything that involves being with Cindy and the family.
Likes: People, adventures, and laughter.
Dislikes: Dull knives and dull conversations.
