Welcome to Wellington Community Church!
We’re so glad you’ve dropped by to check out our church. We’d love to help you get to know us because we’re excited about what the Lord is doing here at WCC.
If you have yet to attend our church, we’d like to help you know what you can expect.
In addition to our “What to Expect” page here, when you come to WCC, you’ll find we’re a relatively small church (about 75-100 on a Sunday) that’s filled with people who come from all walks of life and all ages. We have young families, middle-age folks, and seniors.
We have a casual, laid-back style that I think you’ll find makes us an easy place to connect with new folks and grow in your walk with the Lord.
You’ll find our church services to be pretty straight forward. They last about 90-100 minutes and don’t have a lot of extra fluff so that we can focus on worship and the Word.
In my own walk with the Lord, I've heard sermons from all kinds of churches. Some have been pretty “light”, others pretty deep; some have kept me on the edge of my seat, and some have put me to sleep. The sermons that have had the greatest impact in my life were the ones that simply focused on the Word of God. Those sermons covered the ground necessary to understand what God was trying to say in a passage, and understand His point and the reason for it, and then how to live it.
That's a lot of what we do on Sundays here at WCC. When we come to a passage, we'll dive into a passage to understand it for the simple reason that we're committed to the principle that knowing God’s Word correctly is a key to walking with Him and we're willing to put the effort into studying a passage of scripture to get past our own preconceptions and simply understand it correctly.
We hope that after the worship service, you'll stick around and allow us to get to know you. I think you'll find our church family to be comprised of people who love the Lord and one another, and we'd love to have you drop by.
If you have questions that you’d like to run by me personally, please drop me an email.
Thanks and God Bless,
