Family Prayer Time

In the words of Charles Spurgeon, "Prayer girds human weakness with divine strength, turns human folly into heavenly wisdom, and gives to troubled mortals the peace of God. We know not what prayer can do."

We have no greater privilege in Christ than to serve the LORD who not only hears our prayers, but acts upon them for our good and His eternal glory. In a time when we are overwhelmed with daily news filled with uncertainty and hysteria, we know as God's people we are to pray without ceasing for His glory to be seen by a frightened and desperate world.

With that in mind, we are hosting a LIVE time of prayer, twice a week, where the people of WCC (and any others who desire) to tarry before the LORD in prayer.

Since we are limited in our opportunities to sit, face-to-face, in these times, we're going to try to do this over the internet using a free meeting program called Go-To-Meeting. This is a very secure and simple tool that will allow many people to gather together by computer or by phone to have a conversation together.

  • Every Monday from 7:00 - 8:00 PM (or as the Holy Spirit leads)
  • Every Thursday from 7:00 - 8:00 PM (or as the Holy Spirit leads)

Here are the instructions to use to set up and use Go-To-Meeting for each of these prayer times:

If you already have the Go-To-Meeting on your computer, please join my meeting from your computer, tablet or smart phone.

Once you have accessed the meeting, make sure you have enabled the audio on your computer so you can hear and be heard through the speakers and microphone in your computer.  If you have video capabilities, feel free to turn it on so we can see you and you can see others.

If you don't wish to use your computer for this time, you can simply dial in using the phone number below and type in the access code when prompted.

United States: +1 (872) 240-3212
Access Code: 208-959-357

If you haven't used Go To Meeting before, below is the link to download the small app to your computer to enable it to access the meetings. If you have any issues, please feel free to reach out to John Tillotson and he'll do his best to get you up and running!

New to Go-To-Meeting? Get the app now and be ready when your first meeting starts: https://global.gotomeeting.com/install/208959357

Please try to log or call in 5 minutes before 7:00 pm to make sure everything is ready to go before we begin. I'll open with a few comments and scripture readings and then we'll open the time up to share prayer requests and then lift these up to the Lord with praise and thanksgiving.

I hope you'll all strive to attend as many of these prayer times as your schedule allows. It will be a sweet salve to hear your voices, even when we can meet face-to-face.

The very act of prayer is our give and blessing and we know that God will give us comfort and strength in these trying times. Come and let's draw nearer to our God in prayer.

1 John 5:14-15 - "This is the confidence we have in approaching God: that if we ask anything according to his will, he hears us. And if we know that he hears us - whatever we ask - we know that we have what we asked of him."
